Taylor Swift

Happy Thursday, i’ve been really busy and only got to write this really late last night soo yeah.

Last Saturday i went to Taylor Swift’s second Croke Park show which was also her 13th show on her stadium tour. First of all it was amazing!!! Honestly when i went to Ed Sheeran i didn’t think anyone could do as amazing as he did but Taylor surely did! Everything about the concert was amazing, her outfits, the set up, everything!! It honestly did show how much time and effort she put into the making of the shows, from the different acts she did, outfit change to stage change they all looked so creative and thought out. My favourite part of the show was her endurance it was the best! and my favourite song was the style/love story/you belong with me medley because they are literally my favourite songs ever. Along with Taylor being amazing so was the crowd, honestly love the happy atmosphere at concerts, can’t imagine how great it is standing on that stage looking at 80,000 people singing and dancing to your songs, Taylor literary didnt stop smiling from the second she came on stage till the very last second on the stage. Also as you walk into the concert they handed out wristbands that were actually set up to light up the colours of her stage and go off at the same time it honeslty looked so good and it was actually an amazing idea. There isnt a bad thing anyone can say about it honestly it was just so prefect and I don’t anyone can actually top it! If you are going to see her you should so look forward to it and if you are debating if you should go or not, 100% go, you wont regret it i promise!

This Is Ireland – Waterford

First post of my This Is Ireland series, I started in Waterford and i didn’t get that much done because i literally only decided to go that morning and didnt have it planned at all and i just wanted to jump straight into it so i will be re-doing Waterford and spending more time planning and doing things.

Where I did go;

– Tramore Beach.

– Latcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens.

– Waterford City.

LATCADIO HEARN JAPANSESE GARDENS

These Japanese Gardens have a unique story behind them, they reflect elements of gardening traditions of the countries and cultures traversed by Lafcadio Hearn during his varied life. (Patrick) Lafcadio Hearn (1850-1904) was a gifted writer and first became famous when he moved to Japan and also changed his name to Koizumi Yokumo, the gardens follow his journey from Greece to Ireland then to America and the gardens reflects this in design, choice of plants and particularly in visage of rocks. ” In order to comprehend the beauty of a japanese garden, it is necessary to understand – or at least to learn to understand the beauty of stones” – Hearn. The idea for the gardens came about in 2012 when his great-grandson visited T for the summer, and it was opened in 2015. Each garden has a story behind it about a period of his life, starting with The Victorian Garden which represents his childhood summers in Tramore, which he loved so much.

Garden’s

  1. Victorian Garden
  2. Transition Garden
  3. The American Journey
  4. The Greek Garden
  5. Arrival in Japan
  6. The Stream Garden
  7. Woodlands
  8. The Garden Of Peace & Harmony
  9. The Living God
  10. Journey’s End

along with 10 gardens there is two little games for kids, with finding different fairy doors all around the gardens and another with another sheet of different things to find around the gardens.

opening hours: 10:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.

prices: adult – €5, child (under 12) – FREE.

guided tour (45min) €7.50 per person (4 adults max)

School Tours (all ages) €3.00 per child.

you can also get passes and become an annual friend all the information is on their website: lafcadiohearngardens.com

TRAMORE BEACH

As soon as we finished in the Japanese gardens we headed to the beach, we didn’t do much just a walk along the beach, some arcade games, little bit in the fun fair and then some food.

For those of you who don’t know about Tramore it is located in Waterford City, Ireland which I think is about 20/30 minutes from the city, you can also get public transport to and from the beach. It has a lovely big beach, a fun fair, one or two shops, food places and a donut bar, along with two arcades. It is also literally every irish family’s tradition every year in the summer when you go to Tramore you get a take away in Dooley’s which is without a doubt the most amazing place ever!!!

WATERFORD CITY

Waterford is about two hours from Dublin and you can get bus or train to and from Waterford. We just went for a bit of shopping in the City and also were going to go to the Waterford Castle but it was closed for a private event so we couldn’t. Two little facts about Waterford, it is one of Ireland’s oldest towns, founded by the Vikings they called it weather fjord.

OTHER THINGS TO DO IN WATERFORD

  • Waterford Museum Of Treasures
  • Reginald’s Tower
  • Waterford Castle
  • Waterford Viking Triangle
  • House Of Waterford Crystal
  • Cathedral Of Most Holy Trinity
  • Greyfriars Municipal Gallery
  • Ballyback Castle
  • Geneva Barracks

I will be going back to do more at some point but any questions let me know! that’s it for Waterford… Kildare is next!

Ed Sheeran

Friday night I went to Ed Sheeran and it was the best concert I’ve ever attended! Out of his 9 Iirsh dates I attended Phoenix Park night 2. The stage layout was amazing and unique, I’ve never seen the stage screens designed so creatively. I literally loved everything about it, the set list, the supporting acts were amazing, and the atmosphere was unreal, I just loved the day. The concert was in the middle of the park so we had a nice walk in the park just before it and it was a lovely day the sun was shining. We got there about 5:30 and there was thousands there.

Stage times;

5:45 Beoga

6:30 Jamie Lawson

7:30 Anne-Marie

8:45 Ed Sheeran

Honestly they all came on at the exact time they said they would, I’ve never been to a concert when they were on at that exact time.

Set list;

1. Castle on the hill

2. Eraser

3. The A team

4. Don’t / New man

14. Nancy Mulligan

15. Sing

16. Shape of you

17. You need me, I don’t need you

We were straight in front of the stage and literally couldn’t hear a thing and then we moved to the side and seen everything! Over all best concert I’ve been to and if you haven’t been to see Ed you are missing out literally go get tickets now!!

Small Trip to Athlone

So last Thursday I took a small trip to Athlone, Co Westmeath for a seminar for school which you can read about in my last post. So here’s what I got up to in Athlone.

Day 1;

I got up at 5:30 to travel to Kildare ( 1 hour and a bit ) then from Kildare to Athlone ( 1 hour ) so we got there about 9 o’clock, went to our hotel which is also where it was on, we checked in, I went got changed and put some makeup on, and then went to the seminar it was on from 10:30am-3pm. So when it was over we went for some food, then shopping for a good bit, took some pictures and then went back to the hotel to go to the gym and pool for awhile then just went to bed!

Day 2;

We woke up, got some breakfast, took some more pictures, then went and walked around Athlone for a bit, went back to our hotel, got some food and sat around for while waiting for our train at 4pm and then just went home.

London – Day 4

My last day is London was probably my favorite even tho I didn’t do much, so we woke up early and had breakfast and wanted to make the most of our last day, and I got to pick what we did, and I chose to go see the Chelsea FC Stadium, and it was amazing, I loved it! The tour was about 2 hours, and we were about 30/40 minutes away from our hotel, so once we were done we went back to our hotel, got our bags then headed to the enterprise again and got some food before our 2 hour drive to the airport, our flight was at 9, and then we had another 2 hour drive home from the airport in Dublin, so a lot of traveling was done, so nothing that exciting, tomorrow I’ll do a full blog post on just the Chelsea Stadium!!
