Skin Care Tips

Happy Monday everyone! So from now on I’ll only be doing beauty on Monday’s (hopefully) depending on how it all works out but anyways, if you know me you’ll know I’m skin care mad, skin care over makeup any day, I love having my skin nice and clear makes me so much better about myself and I just love it!! Today I’ll be sharing my top tips for skin care!

1. Natural natural natural

My number one tip is to try to always just use natural products, they are so much better for your skin than any of the things you buy in shops. I make my own face masks & scrubs using things I have in my kitchen and it makes my skin softer, brighter and healthier than any bottled products I’ve ever bought has! I will do some posts in the future about the face masks and scrubs if you want to try them out or just want a little inspiration on what to put into them! But honestly this is the biggest tip of all keep it as natural as you possibly can, and the best thing about making them yourself is you know exactly what’s going into them and how they are made.

2. Water

I know you see this everywhere and it’s a boring tip you didn’t want to hear but honestly if you want nice clear glowing skin then you need your water! I’ve seen my skin with and without me drinking water and it’s safe to say I haven’t gone a day without having some kind of water intake but I noticed when I drink it a lot throughout the day like bottle after bottle it really shows on my skin, so I’d highly recommend you to make sure you are getting some kind of a daily water intake!

3. Sunscreen

You literally need to wear sunscreen every single day of the year, it benefits your skin so much because it protects your skin while you are out and around. Wearing sunscreen all year round is meant to protect your skin from the bad air and weather all around, also it’s meant to keep your skin younger and wrinkle free. I would highly recommend applying it daily!

4. Remove Makeup

I know this is obvious but makeup is bad for your skin and it can cause huge breakouts more so if you don’t wash it off right or at all! If you wear makeup daily make sure you don’t go to sleep till you are sure it’s off your face or you’ll wake up with spots that you definitely don’t want. Aswell I know when you come home from a night out or a long day removing your makeup isn’t on the top of your list but it should be, if you want clear and nice skin then you need to put in the effort and sit down to remove it all till you are wiping nothing.

5. Products

The products that you use is definitely the most important thing, I know so many people like testing and trying new things but honestly I think if you’ve found something you like and it goes well with your skin then you should just use them products because if you start trying loads of new things and stuff you could get reactions or breakouts and it’ll just ruin your skin and bring right back to the start again!

6. Food

I know everyone says it but it’s so true what you eat helps your skin, if you want super nice, glowing and health skin then you have to watch what you eat and try eat more foods that benefit and help your skin! Because foods can cause breakouts too.

7. DIY

Like I said doing your scrubs, face masks and cleansers by yourself at home is so much better because you know exactly what you are putting on your skin and if it’s bad for your skin or not, you could buy bottled stuff and literally be putting anything on your face.

8. Your hands!!

No matter how many times a day you wash your hands you shouldn’t touch your face, we use our hands for everything and everything comes with dirt and germs, our hands are always picking it all up and by touching your face you are literally passing it all from your hands to your face and it will cause a breakout of black/white heads!

9. Vitamins

Along with eating foods to help your skin, you also need your vitamins this will help clear it and give it a glow. It doesn’t matter if your skin gets these vitamins naturally through your foods or you buy boxes of vitamins and take the amount required daily as long as you have some kind of vitamin intake.

10. Facials

I know they can be very expensive but I promise they are worth it if you get the right one for your skin, always ask what they would recommend for your skin before actually getting it, some people get monthly facials others get seasonal ones, but I do think they help your skin so much, when I got my first one I didn’t expect it to do much but it was amazing, it cleared and brightened up my skin so much!

My Top 5 Make-up Brands

Happy Mondayyy! So because I just posted a makeup giveaway on my Instagram (@lifeasbeccaa) so I thought I’d do a makeup related blog post! So here we go my top 5 make up brands

1. W7

I was the biggest fan of Mac for the longest time, mostly because of the mascara and I never thought I’d find a mascara I love as much as my Mac one but I was wrong! For Christmas I got a set of W7 makeup which I have never tried before and it included the mascara which was the very same as my Mac one (in my opinion) and it was so much more affordable which was a bonus, I also love their cover stick it’s the best thing to cover spots! Their eyeshadow palettes have always been one of my favourites I’ve like 5 palettes!

2. Catrice cosmetics

As far as I know you can only get this in Primark and one or two pharmacies but I mostly only love this brand for their foundations and concealer because I don’t like heavy makeup, I’m more of a natural kind of girl so I find their foundation amazing and I haven’t really tried any other products of theirs but I’m sure they are amazing! I definitely will try some more and maybe do reviews on them because they are also an affordable brand!

3. L’Oreal Paris

All of their brow products are my lifee! Now I know I said I don’t like full glam makeup but when I’m going out I sometimes wear a heavier and darker foundation and I literally only use L’Oreal!! Now my favourites products would have to be the infallible 24h-matte foundation in the shade natural rose, if you wear tan a lot I highly recommend this foundation because it gives your face a beautiful clear tan and it looks so pretty honestly! Also a foundation favourite would be true match it has the prettiest glitter undertone that I lovee! My eyebrow favourite would 100% have to be the brow artist plumper it’s so amazing to just throw it on your eyebrows when you are heading out so you don’t have to sit down and shape out your brows and all that!

4. Kylie Cosmetics

All I have to say is I just love her lip kits so much and all the colours are just amazing and I’m also a big fan of her eyeshadow palettes such beautiful colours, also her collection are always so beautiful!

5. Maybelline New York

Literally there isn’t a product that I’ve tried of theirs that I don’t like, the Gigi Hadid collection was just beautiful and I wish I got literally every product, they are always doing the most amazing collections, I’m pretty sure everyone loves Maybelline!

These are the 5 most makeup brand I use but I love so many more too so I’ll do another one soon! Hope you enjoyed and don’t forget, make up giveaway on my Instagram! @lifeasbeccaa☺️

NUDES BY PS ~ Pressed vs Cream Contour Set

NUDES BY PS ~ Pressed vs Cream Contour Set

I’m back! Happy Tuesday, so a couple weeks ago I purchased a few bits from Primark’s new KKW inspired line called nudes and one of the things I got was a cream contour set which I done a review on already. The cream contour set included a two shade cream contour stick, a two shade highlighter stick, a brow highlighter and a brush/blender which was €8. Now the other day I was in a local Primark and saw the pressed contour palette and thought I’d pick it up, try it out and compare it to the cream contour set! This palette contains one contour shade, two highlight shades and a blush.

3 difference of the two for me;

1. For me I feel like the cream contour sticks blend a hundred times better than the powder.

2. The cream contour always applied way better for me.

3. You get more options in the cream than the pressed.

They are really the only difference I can see. But in my opinion I’ve always loved cream contours and highlighters more than powdered ones!

Cream Contour Set

So like I’ve said before I think it’s good value for €8 because the colours are pretty and you get 3 highlight shades, 2 contour shades and a brush / blender. Also I love how cream contour applies and I think it feels light on the face, also blends better and gives more definition.

Pressed Contour Palette

First of all the contour shade was definitely too dark for me, I’m not a fan of heavy contour or really dark colours, but I love the highlight/blush colours! Although it was only €6 I wouldn’t go out of my way to go buy it, simply because it doesn’t blend well or look good for me!

See you Thursday!,

Revolution London

Revolution London

Happy Thursday!,

So I picked up 3 new revolution london products in superdrug. I got a highlighter palette, conceal palette and a lip kit.

Revolution London – Soph x – Highlighter Palette

Highlighter palette which was €9.00 and has 8 different shades and the colours are amazing, the bottom row is probably my favourite colours they are just so pretty and really pigmented and im not like a huge fan of highlighters like everyone else, like i rarely use highlighter when i do wear make-up but I’ll defiantly be using this palette from now on! you can purchase it online here.

Revolution London – Pro HD – Conceal Palette

As well as the highlighter, the conceal palette has 8 shades, light – medium. They have pretty good coverage and doesn’t feel too heavy on the face, the first shade is probably my favourite of the 8. I can’t find it online but I think it was about €9.00 as well as the highlighter palette. And the mirror on the palette is so amazing and clear, i love it so much.

Revolution London – Lip Kit

So along with the two palettes I picked up a lip kit. im not sure of the shade because i threw away the box and the shade isnt wrote on the lipstick itself so we’ll go with some shade of purple i think it might have been royal or something but anyways, it’s very long-lasting, once it’s on its on, also can’t find it online and think it was about €4/€5, and im pretty sure they have more shades!

See you Tuesday,

Cien Products

Cien Products

Welcome back to my blog, happy Tuesday, today ill be talking about 3 different skin care and three different hair care products which I believe can only be purchased in Lidl Stores, not fully sure. Also not sure of how much these are but i’m pretty sure they are all under €5, which is an amazing price for such good products. As you can see the products I have are face masks, moisturizer, micellar water, shampoo, conditioner and heat protection spray. i’m going to start with the skin care products and follow with the hair care products.

Micellar Water;

I love it, it contains a lot more natural ingredients than other micellar water’s. It’s a really good cleanser/face wash for a bare face, in my opinion it’s not the best for removing makeup, i feel like it just doesn’t do the job i want it to do with removing my makeup, but as a normal cleanser and face wash i find it amazing and love it, i use it daily and it really has hydrated my skin, make it glow and super soft! I literally never thought i would change cleansers from what i was using because it was so good and helped with my acne so much but then i found this and it’s just as amazing!

Moisturizer;

This moisturizer is very similar to the Nivea soft which is amazing and one I always use, two of the nicest moisturizer’s you can get, its honestly amazing. Use it once and your skin will be unbelievably soft, no joke! I havent decided which I like better yet to be honest, i still use both and they are really good and i’d recommend them both. I think this one is more creamier and rubs in so well, it also dries fairly fast!

img_1573.jpg

Face Mask’s;

One is for my Mam, but i’ve yet to try the face masks, I’ll let you know what it’s like when I do use it! and im pretty sure they were only a couple cent each!

Shampoo & Conditioner;

Probably one of my favourite shampoo’s, end result from using it was amazing. My hair was super soft and had a lovely shin to it same with the conditioner, both amazing products.

img_1568.jpg

Heat Protection Spray;

I don’t use that much heat on my hair only if im going out, I let my hair naturally dry as much as I can but when i do use heat and make sure to spray my hair with this first and it really does protect my hair from the heat, i’ve been using this product for over a year now and find it great!

NUDES By PS

NUDES By PS

I’m back with a new Primark beauty line, this one is called ‘NUDES’ and it’s amazing, first of I love the packaging. So I just picked up the highlight & contour kit, a lip kit and some fake nails.

                                                    Highlight & Contour kit

IMG_1505

The kit comes with 3 different products and a brush, the 3 products are a cream highlighter duo, brow highlighter and cream contour duo. All for €8. The brush surprised me, I didn’t think It would be that good or blend the contour at all but it did a pretty good job. The contour itself blended nicely and it went onto my face easy and clear, I have yet to try the highlighters but the contour is amazing. Love the shades too!

             Lip Kit

img_1507.jpg

That little dash in the lip gloss is annoying me so much! but anyways I was impressed the last PS lip product I tried wasn’t the best, it was really wet and sticky, also didn’t smell the best but they’ve defiantly improved, it’s a lovely colour, apply’s nice, doesn’t feel heavy on the lips and smells very sweet! Lip kits are €4 and I got the shade ‘Mesmerise’.

                                                        Fake Nails

IMG_1515

Also picked up some nude fake nails for €1.50 which I’ll use at some point!

PS Pigment’s

Recently Primark came out with some eye pigments, and I picked up some of them. They’ve 6 single colours & 3 in a set for their Gold Rush line.

Set of 3 for Gold Rush Lines;

Literally took them out of their box and my hand was covered in glitter which just shows how pigmented they really are, they are amazing on & blend into your eyeshadow amazingly.

3 for €5

6 single pigments;

I picked up the shades Brown Sugar & Copper Daze. Amazing colours and apply so nicely to the eye lid.

€3 each
