Plan a concert outfit with me

Happy Saturday, this was meant to go up yesterday but I had a busy day and didn’t find the time to write it and I also didn’t want to rush it so I gave myself an extra few hours to write it! As you may or may not know I love going to concerts, I’m literally always at them and I always want to wear something different to them all so today I’ll be sharing with you how I plan my concert outfits.

Normally I don’t plan them till about 1/2 weeks before the concert so that they are new in shops and stuff, sometimes I’m literally only walking around getting things the day before the concert but normally it depends on the concert because I have ideas for different concert like Ed Sheeran I went to him in May and I knew I wanted to wear a jumpsuit to it so it was just a matter of finding a jumpsuit I liked, also there is no harm is planning ahead if you have your tickets and you are just shopping around and you see a nice top on sale or a skirt you could always get it and save it up for the concert and then closer to the time find something to go with it, but anyways here’s step by step how I do it!

First thing I normally do is go to Instagram & Pinterest for inspiration using these two platforms normally gives me an idea of what kind of look I’m going for and the kind of things I want to look out for online or when I’m shopping, looking for inspiration is the best thing you can do because although you mightn’t wear what you’ve found it might give you an idea for something completely different. Also at concerts you can literally go wild with your outfit I think the more unique the better!

Once I kind of have some idea of what I want to wear I usually look in my local H&M and Primark for the clothes I want but if they don’t have anything normally I go onto boohoo.com or prettylittlething.com and search for the clothes and I always find something weather it be what I was looking for or something completely different. Shopping around definitely helps inspire you too because if you see something new maybe you’ll want to wear that and match it with something other than what you’ve planned in your head.

Then when I have the bits I want obviously I buy them, try them all together and see if there is anything I want to change, if so I just do it all again, look for something new to go with it and keep doing it till I find the perfect outfit for me!

Here’s a few tips:

– always be open to different ideas, just because you’ve one idea in your head doesn’t mean you shouldn’t think of other possible looks, if you go into a shop and they don’t have what you want and you see some really nice clothes instead of sticking to what you originally wanted think of ways you could style the clothes you did find in the shop.

– for me I think it’s better to have your outfit all set before the concert, that’s why it’s important to try it all on together before hand to make sure you like so on the day of the concert you aren’t running around trying to change it and find something new to wear, I really think this is important, it definitely is for me because all concerts I go to are in Dublin and I live like one and half / two hours away so on concert days I need to be really to go and hope on the bus/train to get there on time.

– don’t be afraid to be bold, concerts are literally the happiest place on earth, it’s where a couple hundred/thousands people who all love the same music come to have the time of their lives, and I think a concert is the only place you can really be bold and wear whatever you want to wear because no one judges, they all just came to listen to music not judge people.

Have you any upcoming concerts you are going to or would like to go to? Let me know in the comments
I’m hoping I’ll be going to Why Don’t We in October, then I’ve Nicki Minaj, Shawn Mendes & The Vamps next March, April & May and I’m so excited!!

thank you for reading,
