Tips for new bloggers

Happy Sunday, so I didn’t plan on writing or posting this post today, this was meant to go up on Wednesday but I did a poll on twitter and this got the most votes so I’m writing this one! Sorry it’s up so late it was meant to go up earlier, I scheduled it to go up at 6 but it just didn’t post! But anyways let get into the post!☺️

So I’m fairly new to blogging, I started about a year ago but was barley doing it, just posting randomly and whenever I wanted, I didn’t plan things out or do it on a regular basis but I have learned a few things over the year I’ve had my blog.

1. Write about the right things

When I say that I mean write about things you like or are passionate about, also make sure you’ve the right information and understand the things you talk about because it really shows in your writing and people can clearly see if you aren’t interested in what you are talking about, so I highly recommend only talking about things you’ve strong opinions about or things you’ve an interest in because I think writing about things you like really improves your writing!

2. Don’t worry about others opinions

I definitely worried so much at the start of my blogging journey, I was scared what everyone around me would think and it held me back from blogging a lot which I now regret and hate that I let it bother me and held me back! As soon as I stopped caring about others opinions I felt better about myself and my blog got better which was great!

3. Use Twitter!

Honestly I didn’t know what I was missing out on with twitter! It is such a good way to promote your blog and discover others! Plus you can get to know so many people who are bloggers too and they are all literally the nicest and most supportive people you’ll ever met and they will without a doubt motivate you do continue blogging!

4. Just keep going.

This was another big problem with me at the start of my blogging journey I didn’t get views/likes/ comments and it felt like I was putting in so much effort for nothing! But trust me if you keep at it and post regularly you will get to a point where you get likes/views/comments and see the work you do is worth it! The more work you put in the better results you’ll get and trust me reading the comments and seeing the views and that people read what you write is the best feeling in the world.

5. Communicate with your following

Make sure you answer comments and talk with your following on your blog and social media and also communicate with other bloggers like I said, follow them, comments on their stuff, give them a reason to check out your blog and see what your doing and keep up to date with you like you do with them!

6. Plan.

To me, this is the most important planning everything out! From posts to pictures, knowing what you are doing every time you get ready to sit down and type is great and every time you take your camera out knowing what you are talking photos off and knowing ahead of time gives you that day to plan out ideas and the way you want it! Also a big tip that I use all the time is always be one step ahead, always have your next post in your mind or wrote and ready to go because it saves the stress of trying to think of things on the spot, usually I write a big list of ideas and when I go to write I pick whatever one I want! Lists are important!

7. Numbers.

DON’T STRESS ABOUT NUMBERS!! It’s the worse thing you can do and it’ll just make you doubt yourself which you shouldn’t, so forget the numbers and worry about what you are doing.

8. Comparing yourself.

Please, please, please don’t compare yourself to other blogs/bloggers, you are all different and you should embrace that, comparing yourself will do nothing only bring you down and make you unmotivated! PLEASE DONT COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS !!

That’s it, just always remember to be yourself and do things how you want and not to please others, also be patient, your hard work will pay off more and more as you grow and I hope you learn from my mistakes!☺️

See you tomorrow!

Thank you for reading,
