Advice for teenagers

Happy Thursday, today’s post is about teenagers and our current world, this is me speaking from 100% experience and how I felt in the situations and I hope it helps some of you out!

First thing I want to say is no matter how young / old you are, you have a voice of your own, it’s okay to have a different opinion to everyone else, it’s okay to not want to follow the crowd, it’s okay to be different, it’s okay to stand out.

Having a voice and using it is important, if you don’t want to do something speak up and say it don’t hide in the back and do it because everyone else is doing it!, do what you believe in and if you think it’s wrong say it and leave, don’t get yourself caught up in stuff you don’t wanna be in or isn’t easy to get out of! Always remember it’s your life and you shouldn’t live it to please anyone else but yourself! Also having a different opinion is okay too, don’t ever be afraid to share your opinion not everyone will agree but that’s okay, as long as you know what you are saying and doing!

“Following the crowd” I’ve lived this & seen so many do it, just because your friends do something doesn’t mean you have to!!! If you think it’s wrong and it’s something you know you shouldn’t do then speak up and say there is no way you’ll do it & that’s it no need to explain yourself! And if you think you have to do it to fit in or do it so your friends will like you or whatever then they aren’t really your friends and you are 100% better off without them! I’ve often been asked to do things and it’s all stuff I don’t agree with so of course I stood up and said that!

Being different & standing out is sO important to me, my mam often said to me look at those girls walking around in groups just worrying about school, while you have business ideas, what you wanna do in life & it all planned out. And I loved that because although I’m only 16 I’ve planned out so much and thought about doing such big things, the higher the goal the more I work & fight for it! But while my friends were out getting drunk and smoking whatever in fields ( which I was asked and asked to do with them but I always said no because that isn’t the way I want my life to go ) I was traveling, going to concerts and meeting new people and it truly was amazing! And I also ended up starting a blog because of the discussions I made!☺️

So not following the crowd, standing out and being different made me see what I truly want to do and what makes me happy, and gives me excitement every time I do it!

Now I’m not judging anyone who does drink or smoke I’m just saying EVERYONE in my town does it and Honestly it isn’t the road I wanted to take and I took a different one and ended up here, which I’m happy with! But it was all because I said no and didn’t give into the temptation of others. Also if you are going through a hard time don’t be afraid to text me on twitter my dms are always open! So,

Be kind

Be happy

Be strong

Be brave

Be respectful

Be different

Be you.

See you Tuesday!

  1. Very beautifully said Becca! I’m sure there are tons of teens out there that would love this advice and I love how you are so self aware at a young age. You sound like an amazing girl and I wish wish you lots of success.
